All the work of Tukay is devoted to the real ideals of democracy. His flaming words managed to overcome all the obstacles even in the darkest, the most hideous conditions of tsarist Russia. With the help of sarcasm expressed in the verse these words, not being mistaken, penetrated into the soul of the nation. They told about unpalatable truth, rose gleams of hope and, adding internal strength, called for fight for freedom. The great public significance of Tukay’s selflessness is just in this.
The poems of Tukay have been a valuable property of the general culture for a long time.
I whole-heartedly recline my head towards the name of Gabdulla Tukay.
